Overseas Camps
Often cadets get to hear about going on overseas camps. Cadets can apply via their squadron to attend an overseas camp, which usually entails a cadet having to attend a selection board at Wing and/or Region headquaters. The object of overseas camps are usually to find out what RAF stations are like in other countries. common stations cadets attend are in Gibraltar, Cyprus, Germany, and USA. Cadets are given the opportunity to discover the culture differences and how they differ to other stations in the UK.
Cadets may also get the opportunity to apply for cadet exchange. This basically allows a cadet to stay over with another cadet's household in another country, and live with the cadet for a week. Going to cadets, school and other outings with him or her etc |
